Where Learning Languages is FUN

(new layout: Language site

for The Norton Knatchbull School Students)

france germany spain

This Website has been designed and is maintained by Madame Jeffryes. I am working on the French section (Use link from the top of the page) and will redo all the links for the German and Spanish in Summer 2008.

The primary section is designed by Mr Stapely.

*If you want to learn French, German or Spanish, you will find many games to help you learn the spelling and sentence constructions with Taskmagic, Spellchecker, Hot Potatoes, to name a few.

Taskmagic: free home use download http://www.mdlsoft.co.uk/freeTMhome.htm ,
(Only for home use if you are a Norton Knatchbulll School pupil or if your school has Taskmagic)

If you want to know more about Taskmagic:http://www.mdlsoft.co.uk or
http://www.taskmagic.co.uk (This will give allow you to try the Taskmagic activities on my website by downloading the free trial version which you could try with your pupils)

*If you have missed a lesson or want to go over some work, you should be able to find some revision / fun activities as the site has been organised according to textbooks.

Note: I have redesigned the French section which should be easier to navigate. I will be working on the French part of the website throughout the year as we are offereing new courses such as the Applied GCSE, teaching ICT to year 7 and several projects with the history department. I will try to complete the Grammar section and to add the KS5 which is new to me. I will also try to add a calendar with different activities throughout the year. As I no longer teach German and Spanish, I have left these sections as they are and I hope to work on them next summer holidays.

Thanks to:

* The many teachers who have put their PPT on a variety of Websites. Your work has been acknowledged whenever it was available. If you object to this, please send me an e-mail.pjeffryes@nks.kent.sch.uk

* My pupils who have been the "testers" of my work and were very keen to point out the mistakes, albeit without malice.

*To all the people who have helped me to solve a variety of problems.
